'Spam King' Soloway Arrested

If you have ever been lucky enough to receive an email trying to sell you products to enhance your... personal life... you will already have enjoyed an indirect brush with Robert Soloway.

Not Necessarily the most popular man on the web, Soloway, 27, one of the most prolific spammers of recent years irritating tens of millions of email users since 2003 was arrested on Wednesday the 30th in Seattle, Washington.

If Soloway is found guilty of the 10 counts of mail fraud, 5 counts of wire fraud, 2 counts of e-mail fraud, 5 counts of aggravated identity theft and 13 counts of money laundering he has been accused off he could theoretically be sent to jail for up to 65 years with a fine up to $250,000.

Although this punishment isn't a far cry from a life term in prison, a term used for most first degree murders and the like, the world probably shouldn't hold its breath for any "Free Kevin Soloway" campaigns...
